We are an institution dedicated to promoting social aid thanks to a multidisciplinary team and collaborators, who work with rural indigenous families organized in seeking initiatives for change. We also promote organic agriculture, training, and technical assistance in order to improve the quality of life of small producers.
We promote competitive and qualitative organic agriculture, ensuring food security for families and the possibility to sell surplus stock to the local and regional markets to increase their incomes. We train leaders able to face challenges of development thanks to a large knowledge of agroecological techniques and we implement alternative programs in support of the population.
We drive participative development plans with the local governments, NGOs, and communities, in order to ameliorate the living conditions of people as part of a well-balanced, sustainable, and helpful development at the regional level.
COAGRO is an institution leading sustainable development programs promoting alternative farming. It encourages social, environmental, productive, and management programs with rural indigenous families and seeks fair development to reach “el buen vivir”, sumak kawsay. It also values vulnerable people and their knowledge, giving access to appropriate techniques and services for their development.
The COAGRO Foundation prioritizes the empowerment of women because we recognize that their participation is essential to the social and economic development of their communities. Furthermore, we emphasize the importance of increasing food sovereignty within our communities as a source of improved health and income for the indigenous people.
